Josh Evans was tragically killed in October 2008 as result of a road traffic
accident and the contributing factor was having a hypoglycaemic attack at the time. Following his death a Trust Fund has been
set up in his name to support children in Somerset with diabetes.
Josh was diagnosed aged 11 years old but had never let it get in way of life
and was always ready to take on the challenge. He was a local lad known to the rugby and North Petherton community, but spent
most of his social life in Taunton as that’s where many of his friends live. At 21 Josh enjoyed life and was greatly
loved by his family and friends, his loss has left his friends and family with the determination to help others fight diabetes
by supporting his fund.
Currently the Josh
Evans Trust Fund has already accumulated over £5,000 in donations and gifts, we want to see that grow and grow so that
we can help support the current NHS Infrastructure by providing the extra support, literature and knowledge required to help
other diabetic children and their families in Somerset.
The trust fund is already helping
local children and families in Somerset, with funds being used this summer to send a child on a diabetic activity holiday.

On
Saturday 25th of July 2009, 19 Friends and Family of Josh Evans, jumped from 15000 feet in order to raise funds for the Josh
Evans Trust.
We
wish to thank everyone who was involved, from all our corporate and private sponsors to our supporters, freinds and family.
We
aimed to raise £8000 from this event and we are pleased to say that we think we will, as of the 25th of July we had over £6000
in sponsorship handed in, and are still collecting from the last of the sponsors.
Thank
you again for all your support, more news on how we plan to use the funds raised and how they will benifit children and
families with Diabetes.
